Eye Drops: Phytotherapy for Vision Health

Why do eyes need special care?

The modern pace of life—smartphones, computers, artificial lighting—puts daily strain on our vision. Eye fatigue, dryness, a feeling of “sand,” and decreased visual acuity are symptoms most people face after age 35. Phytotherapy offers a gentle yet effective alternative to synthetic drugs: plant-based eye drops work delicately without causing dependence or side effects.

At Tibetan Formula, we have been developing phytopreparations to support eye health for over 15 years. Our drops are based on proven plant extracts used in Tibetan and Ayurvedic medicine for millennia.

Tibetan Formula eye drops line

Glaucomin eye drops 10 ml

Specialized phytopreparation for prevention and comprehensive support in glaucoma. Helps normalize intraocular pressure, improves microcirculation and nourishment of the optic nerve. Recommended as a supplement to primary treatment under ophthalmologist supervision.

Catar-phyto eye drops 10 ml

Specifically developed to support cataracts and age-related lens changes. Plant components help slow lens clouding, improve eye tissue nutrition, and protect against oxidative stress.

Uberon eye drops 10 ml

Universal drops for daily care: relieve fatigue, moisturize the mucous membrane, reduce redness. Ideal for people who work extensively on computers or wear contact lenses.

Ophthar 10 ml

A comprehensive broad-spectrum phytopreparation to support eye health. Combines anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and moisturizing properties of plant extracts.

Key plant ingredients and their effects

🌼 Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla)

One of the most well-known natural anti-inflammatory agents. Chamomile extract contains azulene and apigenin—substances with proven anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity. Relieves irritation, reduces eyelid swelling, and soothes the eye’s mucous membrane in conjunctivitis and allergic reactions.

🌿 Common Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare)

Traditionally used in Ayurveda to strengthen vision. Contains flavonoids and essential oils that improve microcirculation in eye tissues. Studies confirm the antioxidant properties of fennel, which protect retinal cells from damage caused by free radicals.

⭐ Common Anise (Pimpinella anisum)

Used in traditional medicine for thousands of years to treat eye diseases. Anise essential oil has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, helping with blepharitis and conjunctivitis. It improves the outflow of intraocular fluid, which is important for elevated intraocular pressure.

🫐 Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus)

Bilberry anthocyanins are among the most powerful antioxidants for the visual system. They strengthen the walls of retinal capillaries, improve night vision, and protect against age-related macular degeneration. Widely studied in the context of diabetic retinopathy and cataracts.

🌱 Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus)

The antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties of eucalyptus are effective for infectious eye diseases. It improves tissue respiration and has a mild analgesic effect on irritation.

How to properly use eye drops?

To achieve maximum effect, follow these simple rules:

  • Before use, wash your hands thoroughly with soap.
  • Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid, and instill 1–2 drops into the conjunctival sac.
  • Close your eyes for 1–2 minutes, gently pressing the inner corner of the eye — this prevents absorption through the nasolacrimal duct.
  • Do not touch the tip of the dropper to the eye or eyelid.
  • After opening, store the bottle in the refrigerator and use within 30 days.

Who are the herbal eye drops especially recommended for?

  • For people who spend 6+ hours a day at a computer or smartphone
  • For contact lens wearers
  • For people over 40 with early signs of age-related vision changes
  • For people living or working in environments with high air pollution
  • For those prone to allergic eye reactions
  • For the prevention of glaucoma and cataracts (in combination with Glaucomin tablets)

Combining Drops with Other Tibetan Formula Products

For a comprehensive approach to eye health, we recommend combining eye drops with systemic herbal supplements. For example, Glaucomin tablets work from within — normalizing intraocular pressure and improving optic nerve nutrition, while the drops provide local protection and hydration. This combined approach yields much better results than monotherapy.

“The doctor recommended Katar-phyto as a supplement to the main treatment. After 2 months of use, I noticed my vision stabilized and there was less haze. Very satisfied with the product quality.” — Halyna M., Lviv

“I have been using Glaucomin drops along with tablets for a year. My pressure remains normal, and the ophthalmologist is satisfied with the progress. The natural composition is important to me.” — Vasyl T., Kharkiv
